ZYCLE is a European manufacturer of electronic equipment for indoor cycling. With the support of Versa Design, a 15-year-old company with exhaustive experience in different industries, ZYCLE initiated its adventure in indoor cycling back in 2019.

Our product catalogue includes today a turbo trainer (ZPro), a direct drive (ZDrive) and an indoor bike (ZBike). Our electronic expertise shows in some features and accessories unique in our industry. The ZDrive is the only trainer in the market including a direct USB connectivity with Zwift and other simulators, perfect for the most demanding cyclists. The ZPower is the only power-bank in the market specially built-for-purpose, allowing cyclists to use our trainers and bike without any power socket nearby.

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director to expand our brand beyond our domestic market. The Sales and Marketing Director reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate for this role will be an energetic and organized professional, experienced in working with dealers and distributors in the consumer electronics or sporting goods markets who can easily digest and interpret data to analyze sales, observe market trends, and closely monitor in/out inventory movements for each territory to help formulate a dynamic sales strategy that drives demand and success across the entire ZYCLE portfolio throughout Europe. In this role you will need to be a natural communicator with a passion for people, be a self-starter who is able to apply strong account & relationship management skills, build brand awareness, grow revenues towards achieving company goals and work collaboratively with the other departments of the company. Based in our office in Valencia, frequent travelling forms a significant part of this strategic position, and is required throughout Europe.

Do you want to play a key role in defining and implementing the strategy of the company, fostering partnerships with other players of the ecosystem such as Zwift, Rouvy, Kinomap, Bkool and many others?

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, manage and execute ZYCLE’s sales initiatives closely aligned with our company goals to reach and surpass our targets for revenue & profitability.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the smart fitness-tech market and use this knowledge to work with dealers to develop clear long-term growth plans.

  • Set clear annual objectives with our dealers and distributors, ensuring they are internally aligned with the right level of support across sales and marketing channels.

  • Agree targets with customers, tracking regularly and holding owners to account, and putting in place any corrective actions.

  • Lead the marketing team to plan, organize and execute product launches and partner events each year.

  • Hold regular, informative and engaging meetings with business owners and sales/training seminars with their team.

  • Liaise with the logistics and sales support teams, and when necessary work with them to ensure orders are processed in a timely fashion.

  • Support the finance team ensuring accounts are current and within terms and when necessary helping effect payment.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Located in Europe and willing to relocate.

  • Fluent in English plus a second European language.

  • Driving license class B.

  • Travel throughout Europe will be required up to 50% of the time with regular nights away and occasional participation at weekends for European events, shows and product launches.

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales and marketing, ideally working with dealers and distributors within the cycling, sports and/or tech industries.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude and desire to roll up the sleeves when necessary to get the job done.

  • A genuinely organized self-starter who can operate effectively on their own and as part of a team.

  • Strong interest in, and knowledge of the cycling & fitness arena. The ideal candidate has a keen and active interest in cycling, running, multi-sports and is sufficiently capable to participate in group activities when required.
